3 year old Rape Victim in Lagos

Parents need to be extremely careful with their children. This incident happened yesterday afternoon at Adeniji Adele, Dolphin Estate, Phase 2. A little girl ran into a woman's shop crying. The woman asked her why she was crying, but the little girl couldn't really express herself. She just kept pointing at a particular direction, and crying. Then a few minutes later, the shop owner saw a man approaching her shop and calling on the girl to follow him. The woman asked the man who he was and why he was after the girl. The man probably realized the women wasn't going to release the girl to him, so he tried to run. The woman raised an alarm immediately shouting ole ole, thinking he was a kidnapper, not knowing he had done something much worse.

                                                                   the Victim

Youths in the area thinking the man was a thief descended on him. The man kept saying he wasn't a thief that the little girl was known to him. They turned to the girl and pressured her to tell them what the guy had done to her; the 3 year old told them that the man had taken her to the last floor of a 3 story building and hurt her. They checked the girl's panties and saw blood all over her private area. The blood had even dropped to her legs but nobody noticed on time.

On hearing this, the youths descended on him once again, this time more brutal. They stripped him naked, and beat him with stick, stones, bottles, etc until someone called the police who then took the man away.

When does implantation occur? Can I see signs of implantation on my chart?

If conception occurred, implantation (when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall) typically happens seven to ten days after ovulation, but it can happen a few days earlier or later as well.

There are some signs of implantation or successful conception that may be seen on your chart but all of them can occur with or without pregnancy. You can also be pregnant and see none of these signs on your chart. There is thus really no way to know if they are related to implantation while they are happening, though they occur with greater frequency on pregnancy charts. Some possible signs of implantation or successful conception are:

light spotting that happens for just a brief period of time around seven to ten days past ovulation.
a second thermal shift that occurs around seven to ten days past ovulation.
a dip in temperature that lasts just a single day, around seven to ten days past ovulation.

While these signs may offer clues as to whether or not you have an increased probability of pregnancy, they are really not a reliable way to gauge whether or not you may be pregnant. You can experience any of these signs and be pregnant, or not pregnant, just as you can experience none of these signs and be pregnant or not pregnant. Keep this in mind when you are scrutinizing your chart while you wait to take a pregnancy test.

While you can be cautiously optimistic if you do see these signs (if you have well-timed intercourse during your fertile time) there is no way to really know if you are pregnant before you can reliably test for pregnancy. Likewise, if you do not see these signs (and you have well-timed intercourse within your fertile time) you need not give up hope before the end of your cycle. Many women do not experience implantation signs or very early pregnancy signs at

Pregnancy Etiquette Guide: When to Announce Pregnancy

Q. When should I tell people that I'm pregnant?

A. It is fine to share the news with family and friends whenever you want. Although some people wait until after the first trimester -- when there's less risk of miscarriage -- you don't have to keep the news a secret if you don't want to.

Still, there are some benefits to keeping quiet for a while. One disadvantage of telling everybody early is that they will be asking, how are you feeling? for months, and you may grow tired of answering. Holding off a bit may also spare some unnecessary worry. Because older relatives are from generations when things went wrong more often than happens now, they may be really anxious about your pregnancy.

As for coworkers and bosses, wait as long as possible. Hold off until the end of your first trimester -- even longer if you are not showing or if the news could interfere with a promotion. Then privately tell your boss. You could say I have exciting news to tell you: My husband and I are expecting a baby in [give the month you're due]. Reassure him or her that you will continue working for as long as possible and that you plan to return after the baby is born.  Because your boss may want to discuss matters immediately, be sure to have researched the company's maternity-leave policy beforehand.

Moscow mom kills kids by throwing them off 15th-floor balcony

A 30-year-old mother in Moscow tossed her two young children off a 15th-floor balcony Sunday because she was reportedly "fed up" with the two boys, according to Russian media. Galina Ryabkova, who is seen on surveillance video shortly after the incident, appeared emotionless after going to look at the remains of her sons, ages 4 and 7, according to RT news. The Video- posted by tabloid Lifenews.ru begins with one of the children landing just out of frame at the bottom of a short flight of steps outside the building. A man is then seen coming out to discover the gory scene.
Ryabkova also comes downstairs, the video shows. Wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, she sits in the lobby as neighbors attempt to keep the bony blonde from walking away. “My wife woke me up and said that there were children falling out," a neighbor told Life News, according to the RT. "We ran out and saw two children lying on the ground in front of the main door. Just at that time their mother was leaving the building. We asked her if these were her children and she replied, emotionlessly, ‘Yes, I threw them away.’” Authorities can be seen at the end of the video covering up the bodies with a white blanket, then entering the building.

Ryabkova and her family lived on the 8th floor of the apartment building, but she took the children up to the 15th before tossing them off, authorities said. The woman initially told authorities her boys were now “angels in heaven,” before refusing to talk, Sergey Markin, the Investigative Committee spokesperson, told RIA Novosti. It is unclear why Ryabkova, who reportedly had tried to commit suicide in the past, killed her two children. Some reports claim she was looking to divorce her husband, while others suggested she had recently discovered he may have been cheating on her.
Her husband was away on a business trip at the time, RIA Novosti reported. Ryabkova is expected to be sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation, RT reported, and if convicted could spend the rest of her life in prison.

Mother Pours Bleach Into Her Baby’s Eyes Until She Was Blind

A mother from Washington has been charged with assault after it was alleged she repeatedly put bleach into her young daughter’s eyes.  Jennifer Mothershead, 29 from Bonney Lake, is thought to have caused permanent vision loss in her 15-month-old daughter’s right eye.

Authorities became suspicious in May last year when the little girl was airlifted from Tacoma to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center after suffering a blow to the head, according to Q13 FOX News. When she was treated, medical staff observed a previously diagnosed eye condition had got worse. Doctors became suspicious that the head injury was a result of abuse and called the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Mothershead did not explain how her daughter had got the head injury, and according to a detective, did not show any emotion about the girl’s injuries. The 15-month-old was taken into protective custody. When hospital staff and detectives examined the girl’s eye drops that she had been using for her condition more closely, they noticed they had a strong smell. A detective tested a few drops on his wrist and said they caused a minor burning sensation.

‘One of the things our detectives were concerned about was a lack of concern for the toddler from the mom and we started looking into it,’ Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Troyer told Q13 FOX News.  ‘We found one of the eye drop bottles of chemicals, which basically burned our detectives. It obviously wasn’t something that should be going in someone’s eyes.’

The eye drops were sent for testing to the Food and Drug Administration’s Forensic Chemistry labs, where scientists found that they contained bleach. The eye injuries suffered by the little girl matched up with the symptoms of bleach exposure and she had suffered to such an extent that medical staff ruled out the possibility that the dropper had simply been cleaned with bleach. The girl’s condition has improved, but doctors say she has permanently lost vision in her right eye. Now two years old, she has been living with her father since last spring.

Mothershead has pleaded not guilty and her bail was set at $150,000
